He describes the tals as… \n\n\n\nUntil recently\, women have been sadly rare in the historical record of progress in science\, technology and medicine which\, as a specialist London guide\, are my areas of expertise. But in my research I have been delighted to chance upon lesser known but interesting and pioneering women of strong character\, who ventured into traditionally masculine domains. This talk is about some of them\, living in or near London\, between roughly 1750 and 1950\, and involved in such fields as public health\, astronomy\, chemistry\, engineering and science fiction.
